EduStaff are pleased to be working alongside this inclusive and well-established primary school based in Chelmsford - Essex as they look to bring on three self-motivated and dynamic graduates that are keen to progress into a teaching career this September. Every year the school builds a small team of Graduate Teaching Assistant support staff to work alongside their support team and at the end of that placement those graduates move into a teacher training route across the school's federation in Essex.

The placement is designed to not only see you master the Teaching Assistant role, but also train and develop your skills as a prospective Primary Teacher. Commencing in September, you will build up your level of responsibility as you increase your skills, knowledge and experience across EYFS, KS1 & KS2.

This varied experience provides you with ample opportunity to discover what kind of a teacher you want to become. If successful at interview, the school will consider your skills and abilities to best place you with your class whilst also considering your wishes. Your primary responsibility will then be class support for your assigned class, but throughout the year you will experience every Key Stage.

Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant | You will gain experience in the following:

- Planning and lesson delivery.
- Differentiation and behaviour management.
- 1:1 support of students with learning difficulties / SEN.
- Break out / Intervention group work.
- Numeracy & Literacy Intervention.
- SATS preparation.

To be considered for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role you will need an undergraduate degree at 2:1 or higher. School experience is not essential but some experience working in a support capacity with children is desirable. The headteacher is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working graduate that has a genuine passion for children and education.
