Our client who is extremely established in the travel industry is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their friendly growing team due to growth.
Based in Central Bristol
Hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm 40 hours a week
You will receive a salary up to £21,740

Job Purpose
The main purpose of the job is to support the assistant financial controller and the wider finance team by accurately and efficiently processing financial data and transactions relating to staff, suppliers and customers. This is primarily a support role to the Finance Department, with room to develop and progress as the company and the department grows. You will be completing various clerical tasks such as filing, receipting funds, processing petty cash claims and producing statements for travel agents we sell through.
You should have a high level of attention to detail in all your work, to ensure that we are providing the best service to the team and our suppliers and agents. Good communication skills are a requirement to meet our goal of being a transparent Finance Department. You should have an open mind to learning, with self-confidence to ask for help when unsure. The successful candidate will ideally have relevant office accounts experience and be keen to apply their numeracy skills to drive the continued growth and success of the business.
You will be using Axum - travel industry software - as well as Sage and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. As part of the international finance team you will gain valuable experience.

o Customer receipts and Pro-forma invoices
o Maintaining excel spreadsheets
o Agent statements
o Internal reports
Main tasks and responsibilities
o Processing receipts, sales invoices and payments
o Credit Control including Agent Statements and Final Invoices
o Balancing accounts
o Purchase Ledger
o Banking cheques and cash handling
o Maintaining spreadsheets and financial records
o Supporting the handling of financial data from overseas branches
o Clerical tasks such as filing, handling phone calls, emails and dealing with mail & petty cash
o In addition to the above functions the applicant is required to carry out other duties as required
from time to time.
Experience and key skills required
o Excellent attention to detail
o The ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records
o The ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Computer literacy and the ability to use various specialist applications
o intermediate use of Excel
o Experience working with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and Outlook.
o Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your own workload
o Good verbal and written communication skills
Desirable attributes
o Knowledge of Sage300 (Accpac) or Sage One systems would be advantageous
o ABTA SPS Systems for both Tour Operator and Agent

contribution is 3% of gross monthly salary, with a minimum employee contribution of 5%
Bonus The Company offers a performance-related bonus scheme where the maximum payment
available is 125% of monthly salary

ride or bus or train service. If driving by car, parking would be in a public car park at
own cost; there is no parking available at the office
