Offering state of the art subcontract CNC precision machining and sheet metal engineering services to companies across the UK including specialist robotic welding, CNC laser cutting and welded fabrications, this business is about to embark on a period of significant growth. They are actively involved in several markets primarily aerospace, automotive (commercial vehicles) and rail as well as many other sectors such as defence, marine, oil and gas and agriculture. Now looking to strengthen their commercial team to underpin a period of growth, the requirement is for a customer focused Internal Sales Engineer to join the business.

Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for providing accurate, competitive and timely quotations for a wide range of products and services. You will be customer focused and develop strong relationships, follow up with customers and build long and lasting business relationships to grow our key accounts. Sales and/or estimating experience is preferred.

What You Will Do;

·Review customer enquiries and evaluate all relevant technical and commercial information to ensure products quoted are within capabilities and are right for the business.

·Determine the most cost effective and efficient method of manufacture, ensuring risks are identified.

·Liaise with suppliers to source and price materials and/or sub-contact services required to manufacture the part(s) and to build-up the pricing structure.

·Build strong relationships with, and knowledge of, key customers. Understand their products, requirements and develop forecasts.

·Communicate effectively with customers throughout the lead generation, enquiry, quote and manufacturing processes.

·Ensure there is an effective order handover on new orders to the operations team.

What You Will Have;

·A technical mindset, and ideally have some experience within an engineering environment.

·Have a good understanding of engineering materials.

·Have a commercial mindset and be customer focused.

·Have good communication skills, be a team player, and comfortable with the pressures of working to tight deadlines.
