We're looking for a Revenue Accountant!

Hambrook, Bristol

The role:

To effectively recognise revenue into the Profit and Loss account ensuring data is verified and accurate. Assist with the data management for all NHS Contracts ensuring accurate and up to date data is held thereby ensuring all NHS revenues are accurately recorded. Assist with areas of revenue more especially the practice tools used to submit income data, liaising with external parties to ensure accurate recording and use of this business tool. Responsible for the Total Orthodontics and ROI area of the business (collection of practices) with regards to revenue recognition. Maintain Sales Ledger Control accounts to provide debt recovery measures where applicable. Assist with other areas within the transactional team as and when required.
  • Oversee the revenue process on a monthly basis ensuring dataset is up to date and accurate and processed into the monthly accounts on a timely basis
  • Oversee the ROI revenue process on a monthly basis ensuring dataset is up to date and accurate and processed into the monthly accounts on a timely basis
  • Assist with all aspects of the NHS database thus ensuring the accurate recognition of contracts and thereafter revenue
  • Assist with the checking and process revenues relevant to all other revenue streams e.g. Denplan (monthly dental plans)
  • Monthly checking and accounting of revenue pertaining to monthly Cash Sheets/Sunrise/ICMS systems
  • Key user for Compass (NHS system) ensuring the practices are supported with logging on, training and maintaining a user file log
  • Reconcile Sales Ledger control accounts as directed by the Revenue Team Leader
  • To maintain accurate records for audit purposes and assist with internal and external audit processes where required
  • To maintain excellent third-party relationships
  • Proactive involvement with implementation and development of systems and processes pertaining directly to accurate recognition of all revenues
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required

What we're looking for:
  • Previous experience of Revenue Accounting
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of volume data entry
  • Computer literate, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrable experience in reconciliations
  • Working to deadlines
  • Prioritisation and time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of CODA is desirable
  • Relevant accountancy qualifications - AAT is desirable
