Working within the Programs and Analysis:

This role is in the 'Programs and Analysis' team, which is part of River Island's Safety and Loss department.

The two inventory analysts are primarily responsible for administering, overseeing, and reporting on the stock take process, but contribute to the other team goals. They report to the Senior Safety and Loss Analyst.

What will you do as an Inventory Analyst?

Inventory Control:
  • Ensures all stocktakes are accurately set up, variances are investigated, adjustments processed and stocktakes are confirmed and reported on, all within agreed time frames.
  • Ensures weekly RFID stocktake issues are investigated, recorded and reported on.
  • Manages record keeping for the Inventory Control Team.
  • Maintains Inventory Control Team procedures and systems.
  • Investigates stock system issues and proposes corrective actions.

Functional Support:
  • Supports the development and implementation of all current and future Safety & Loss Programs and initiatives.
  • Supports Program & Analysis Team with data validation and analysis.
  • Supports Program & Analysis Team with project management and administration.

  • Willing to travel occasionally.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent level of verbal and numerical reasoning.
  • Excellent time management, organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrates good attention to detail.
  • Strong and positive team player with good interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels.
  • Willingness for self-improvement and to undertake self-directed study.
  • Experienced PC user with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex information and provide detailed reporting.
  • Ability to write clear procedures.
