The only day nursery to have established a unique initiative with the leading UK care home provided Bupa UK to provide intergenerational care to bridge the gap between young and old.

As part of the nursery expansion programme, we are looking for two passionate and experienced candidates for Deputy Manager to join our friendly team.

The Role:

The nursery deputy manager will be supporting the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the Manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children whilst providing high standards of care and early learning. The deputy manager will be responsible for the managing of the setting in the absence of the manager.

Main duties:
  • You will promote the aims and objectives of the nursery and the high standards at all times to parents, staff and visitors
  • You will lead a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all times
  • You will be responsible for the health and safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children and ensuring staff compliance and awareness
  • You will provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the nursery.
  • You will be responsible for assisting the Nursery Manager with curriculum planning, staffing levels and behaviour management.
  • You will run the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager.

  • Successful applicants will need a minimum of 1 year management experience.
  • A minimum level 3 early year's education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
  • Ability to inspire people to deliver results and set clear objectives.
  • Experience with Ofsted
  • Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
