The role is open to both those who are experienced Payroll practitioner`s as well as those who have perhaps more limited Payroll experience but are looking to develop and increase their technical knowledge. However, you must have some understand and practical Payroll experience in order to be considered. It is working within a wider Payroll team supporting the Senior Advisor running both weekly and monthly payrolls. A wise person once said that variation is the key to keeping challenged and interested and this role certainly offers it. Main duties will include:
  • Approving new starters entered onto the systems.
  • Ensuring leavers are recorded onto the HR/Payroll systems.
  • Calculate all statutory deductions such as new tax codes/Student Loans/Court Orders (AEO's) onto the payroll system.
  • Monitor all sickness returns received and enter details into the payroll system.
  • Ensure that all Statutory and Company absence payments are made
  • Create all necessary manual payments for any adjustments that need to be paid before or after the live runs.
  • To assist with the costing reports
  • To maintain electronic records/filing systems and keep up to date.
  • Complete all HMRC/DSS/Mortgage enquiries.
  • Assist with third party payments.
  • To engage in the implementation of any new business systems as required.
