At retailTRUST, we support and seek to improve the lives of over 4.5 million people working in the retail industry and associated sectors. We provide a safety net through financial assistance, aiding wellbeing, training/vocational programmes to help people develop their careers in retail and promoting independent living at one of our supported living residential estates.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and visionary Head of Marketing with a wide, brand focused remit. You will devise and implement cohesive brand messages across all channels and touchpoints, be responsible for driving the overall brand proposition and applying creative thinking across multichannel marketing campaigns. Leading a talented team, you will support revenue growth via an effective brand, marketing, communications and digital/social media strategy.

We are looking for someone who has experience of leading, coaching and motivating a team and take ownership for expenditure budgets, communicating and monitoring performance against agreed KPI's, taking corrective action where appropriate.

You will be able to demonstrate a collaborative and flexible approach with the resilience to adapt to the rapidly changing internal and external environment.

Some of the key duties include:

  • Work closely with the Insights team to ensure a clear and thorough understanding of the needs of our customers, clients and supporters.
  • Be our brand guardian, helping to communicate the brand positioning and case for support of the charitable work of retailTRUST, its Trading Brands and Funding.
  • Oversee production of internal and external publications including the quarterly Colleague newsletter, the annual Ambassador & Trustee newsletters and Impact report.
  • Support the development of a CRM system to create a single view of the customer and to inform cohesive donor contact strategies across Funding and the Trading Brands.

As our marketing expert, you will be comfortable operating 'hands on' for the majority of the time, as well as having the potential to contribute to strategic discussions. You'll have the ability to translate marketing briefs into clearly actionable campaigns and engage and manage all levels of stakeholders, including Senior Management and Executives, through the creative process to execution. A strong understanding of all areas of the marketing mix is essential, with hands on experience of SEO, PPC, Social, CRM, Google Analytics and CRM tools.

Experience of working within a multi-channel organisation with a variety of income streams and stakeholders is a requirement and autonomously setting, monitoring and communicating progress against financial and campaign KPI's.

We'll pay circa £50,000 per annum and other benefits include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme of up to 9% employer contributions, life assurance of four times your salary and a Health Cash Plan.
