Finance Assistant needed for long term assignment

Your new company
A highly reputable organisation, based in central Dorchester, are seeking a Finance Assistant to join them on a temporary basis. You will be working in an open plan office within a fantastic team environment. This role is due to last up to 12 months with the possibility of being extended.

Your new role
In your new role you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
  • Processing and validating invoices and bank statements
  • Investigating payment queries
  • Large value payment runs
  • Liaising with other internal departments
  • First point of contact for clients and assisting them with queries
  • Monitor and issue customer quarterly returns
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets
  • Monitor team inbox

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be a confident communicator with excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook. You will have a good understanding of the fundamentals of Accounting and be a quick learner. You will have excellent attention to detail and be able to prioritise and manage your own workload whilst also being an approachable individual.
