The Rec Pool Group are now actively recruiting for a Head of Finance for a major Financial Services client in Preston.

You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of all Accounting and Finance functions, systems and controls. Provide financial analysis, advice and guidance to support the company strategic and operational goals and objectives.

THE ROLE
  • Responsible for establishing, managing and directing financial systems and controls.
  • Manage and direct the preparation of monthly/annual accounts, budgets/forecasts and other financial information and reporting
  • Responsible for the control and management of money transmission and cash processing procedures.
  • Responsible for the overall management and leadership of Finance / Accounting teams
  • Board attendee - responsible for the delivery and presentation of financial information
  • Ultimate responsibility for the financial control of bank accounts, cash flows and client funds within the business.
  • Serve as Project Manager and/or sponsor of process and control enhancements within the finance / accounting arena
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of financial models and forecasts to support key company decisions, ROI and financial decisioning.

THE PERSON
  • Full Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA)/Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification or equivalent required.
  • 7 years related accounting/management experience required. 8-10 years accounting/management related experience preferred.
  • Experience with computerised accounting systems and Microsoft Excel required. Detailed knowledge of SAGE accounting system preferred.
  • Experience with banking processes and multi-currency transactions along with Confidential Invoice discounting required
