1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - September start

You will be working as an Teaching Assistant for a market leader that has exclusive partnerships with schools across the Greater Manchester area. These Teaching Assistant opportunities are on a permanent, long-term or daily supply cover basis. Due to an increase in demand from schools in your local area we are looking for experienced secondary teaching assistants to fill the vacancies for September.

Your new role
You will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs. You will be responsible for working with children on a 1-1 basis as well as in small groups, supporting them with any weaknesses they have or anything they need assistance with. You will also work with the class teacher to ensure that the class as a whole runs smoothly, helping any children that need it as well as preparing materials for classes.
Working for Hays Education will enable you to work on a full time or part time basis to suit your commitments. As a Hays Education Secondary School Teaching Assistant you will be able to work in a variety of schools.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Secondary Supply Teaching Assistant you will need to have a minimum of 40 days experience within a classroom setting in the last five years, either within a mainstream or SEND setting. You will need to be an approachable and patient teaching assistant who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to teachers and other staff in the school.
