Technical Sales Engineer (Southern Region)

Based Oxford/Milton Keynes

£38000 - £40000 + Commission

Associate Purpose

Interact with all relevant departments focused on delivering our ambitions

Perform the duties of the role, delivering upon accountabilities to achieve goals, deadlines and targets

Continually deliver excellent customer service through day-to-day activity

Operate cross-functionally as a member of the team

Operate consistently and respectfully in line with our mission, values and pledge understanding the business and how it is aligned to the strategy

Role Purpose

Influence the largest number of customers possible and demonstrate that the company is a credible supplier to partner with for their tooling requirements, so as they move their business to us

Whilst influencing our customer database, the TSE must deliver Hard and Soft savings

Support the local regional sales strategy as a critical member of the sales team

To support our sales regions by providing technical support delivering on our objectives

Coach and develop the Field Sales team by means of project updates to our customer via presentations or QBR's

Able to literate the company Story, Values and Engineering offering to our customers key stakeholder

Work with the Engineering Manager to develop our internal teams to maximise our efficiencies in the field

Develop key relationships with strategic suppliers to support regional growth plans

Any other duties in line with business and departmental needs

Associate Competencies

Proven successful track record in engineering sales

Capability to convey the company value proposition and demonstrate how our engineering credentials work together with other services to take cost out of customers business

Metalworking Industry experience

Engineering qualification

High degree of intensity and professionalism, to get the task completed, using initiative

Able to make commercial judgements about return on investment of time vs size and likelihood of success of customer opportunities

Exceptional questioning and listening skills

Ability to communicate at all levels with a customer's organisation

Patience

Coaching and training skills

The passion and mind-set to win and achieve

Motivated to be successful, both as an individual and as part of a team

Strong planning and organisational skills
