Finance Manager - Group Reporting & Intercompany

As the Finance Manager for Group Reporting and Intercompany you are responsible for reporting consolidated numbers for the Boots UK Health and Beauty division to the WBA Group under US GAAP reporting. This includes preparing annual statutory accounts under IFRS for circa 40 legal entities, supporting the business with compliance and improving SOX controls. You will provide technical accounting guidance to the wider finance function and ensure accurate agreement and reporting of all intercompany transactions and balances in accordance with group policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collating, reviewing and challenging the month end control pack prior to Controller & Finance Director sign off
  • Completing the quarterly statutory pack for Group reporting and Producing and/or reviewing year end statutory financial statements
  • Advising on technical accounting queries and accounting papers for Group sign off
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors for financial statement and SOX control audits
  • Be the main contact with Group on reporting and technical accounting
  • Assist in implementing new Group reporting processes and/or systems
  • Counterparty agreement and accurate reporting of all intercompany balances
  • Management & development of 3 direct reports

A bit about you...
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical accounting skills
  • Ability to manage and develop a small team
  • SAP, Cognos, Magic MS Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with WBA technical group
