IT Support Team Leader, 1st/2nd line, c£35,000pa plus benefits, Kidlington - Oxfordshire:

A well-established growing organisation is seeking an ambitious, career minded, professional IT Support Team Leader to join their IT team based near to Kidlington.

You will lead a team of 1st and 2nd Line Technicians providing support to end client IT Systems. Providing technical expertise, knowledge, mentoring and support for the team; ensuring the technicians are working together efficiently and providing a timely response to incidents and requests raised by clients. This is a great role which combines hands on technical support with being an IT Support Team Leader for a small team.

The main responsibilities of the IT Support Team Leader will include:
  • Be the primary technical and procedural reference for the 1st and 2nd Line Teams
  • Manage the new starters, leavers and movers process including hardware allocation, stock levels, status and checklists
  • Resolve ICT issues for clients in accordance with agreed procedures and SLAs
  • Ensure that documentation, manuals and procedures are kept up to date
  • Assemble and repair hardware such as desktops, laptops and mobile devices
  • Installation and configuration of hardware and software
  • Ensure that hardware withdrawn from service is correctly recycled
  • Carry out site visits as required
  • Take ownership of the lifecycle of customer's software as defined by the Company Directors,
  • Ensure timesheets and other internal documentation are completed in a timely manner
  • Manage or partake in IT Projects as required

Required Skills
  • High level of technical ability and understanding of current desktop & infrastructure technology
  • Logical approach to solving problems
  • Able to organise and prioritise changing workloads
  • Read, analyse, understand and apply relevant technical information, technical manuals and procedures
  • Write project documentation, procedures and technical manuals including diagrams
  • Friendly, approachable and able to communicate effectively via all mediums
  • Can follow a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
