Strategy Education are currently looking for a qualified teacher of English to join a high achieving secondary school located in the Gillingham, Kent

The school is looking for someone who can plan and teach English lessons to students of KS3, KS4 & KS5, that follow the agreed departmental schemes of work and teaching guidelines.

This is a long term, full time placement starting from September 2019.

This post provides an excellent opportunity to work in a high quality and well-resourced environment working with an experienced and highly motivated team. You will be taking on full classroom responsibilities of a teacher, the right candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing & delivering lessons.

The successful candidate will:

- Be a qualified English Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).

- Demonstrate recent experience as a English Teacher.

- Be able to teach English up to KS5.

- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.

- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.

- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.

You would become part of a passionate and innovative department that is well-liked, with a large number of students at GCSE Level. They have high expectations of their staff and students, and are a very friendly and supportive team who enjoy working together to offer their students an excellent learning experience
