Human Resources Manager - Member's Club

Fulham, London

A Human Resources Manager is needed to join one of Britain's most prestigious private members' clubs on a 14-month maternity contract (starting September 2019). As a chartered member of the CIPD (Level 5 minimum), expect to play a key role in leading and managing all of the HR activities for this historic club.

Established in 1869 and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds, the Club is a green oasis of tradition and international renown. Recognised throughout the world as one of Britain's greatest private members' clubs, it retains its quintessentially English traditions and heritage, while providing modern facilities and services for its members.

Joining as the Human Resources Manager you will manage the HR function supported by two HR Administrators, looking after c. 300 staff. Whether you are working towards developing open communication; managing positive employee relations; developing efficient recruitment; investing in continuous learning and development or advising on all HR matters, you will be an excellent all-round Head of HR with a range of in-house teams including Estates, Sports, F&B, Admin, Events and the senior leadership team.

To qualify... Whether you call yourself a Head of HR / Human Resources Manager / HR Consultant / HR Generalist or similar we don't mind, your CV should demonstrate:

  • Chartered Membership of the CIPD;
  • Experience in leading and managing an HR function;
  • The ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with managers across the business;
  • Strong organisational skills;
  • Experience of HR in a SME environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office;
  • Passion and drive as a team player;
  • A personality suitable for the Club.

Previous experience in a Members' club, hotel or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
