Job Purpose

To increase the relevant skills and knowledge of employees at all levels through the provision of training and learning support. To be responsible for identifying development needs, understand development requirements and create and offer solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·Set up, implement and review effective training needs analysis - translate the results into compelling plans for delivery

·Develop, deliver & evaluate relevant training courses (technical and core business skills training for staff, managers and senior leaders that measurably enhance performance)

·Lead the implementation of Group-wide initiatives and report on the effectiveness of these

·Build the leadership capability and ensure ongoing development to positively influence relevant Employee Survey Scores and retention of the best people

·Partner, influence and challenge key stakeholders to develop, implement and continuously improve programmes and material (specifically, induction)

·Organise training programmes and events that are engaging, memorable and measurable and align to business goals

·Engage and actively contribute as a key member of the L&D team

·Research and leverage external organisations that provide funding or provide support towards training and development

·Keep up to date with Regulatory, business/product changes and ensure that all learning materials are up to date at all times.

·Proactively seek to improve current knowledge within team by sharing best practice and experience and learning from others

·Monitor and report results using MI, return on investment and quality markers.

·Lead, develop and effectively manage two direct reports (Training Officers)
