What Am I Here For?
I am accountable for executing the online plans and day to day potentialisation of my category online. Im focused on the metrics, performance and onsite execution across all devices and marketing channels. I know what and how to pull the levers to maximise conversion and sales and am able to quickly react to issues and opportunities. I work collaboratively with a wide range of people to maximise my categories proposition, performance and plans working with buying & merchandising, digital marketing, creative and logistics.
What I Deliver:
  • Web sales and vs web budget (+fcast) - I'm organised, a good planner and communicator who's able to multi task a range of activities, priorities and deadlines. Im a self starter, who uses my own initiative to anticipate and overcome issues. Im told I have good judgement, am able to influence others, and I enjoy making things happen and over achieving.
  • Execute on time launches/activity to guidelines & critical path - I'm data driven - Im a strong advocate of digital analytics and insight and use it to help me understand how my category and products are performing, what works/doesn't and how customers are shopping my category in detail.
  • Deliver and exploit extended range alongside core range - I'm proficient in the digital tool set - analytics, product catalogue (PIM) and CMS - and am aware and able to understand and drive the key levers - product launch, availability, onsite execution, product imagery and content, site content, marketing - and ensure we are on top of all these areas, or able to quickly identify and address anything that slips.
  • Drive Company participation for HD and R&C - I'm able to confidently present and deliver the online performance and plans to my category team, wider digital team and senior team. I identify key insight and actions to improve performance and customer experience. I have a detailed view of how my range is performing and how I need to constantly optimise my category for growth (sequencing rules, filters, content, landing pages, email and homepage shouts and product recs)
  • Plan and target Market share growth - I develop sales and promotional plans based on data and knowledge of my category, to ensure we hit our budget and remain competitive in the market and execute things right first time,
  • Increase Category Visits (Entry & Navigated) by channel - I work collaboratively with the Buying and Merchandise Planning team to ensure we are getting the delivering our plans and the detail right first time, and we are fully maximising and exploiting our category proposition and products across our digital channels, and presenting everything in best possible way.
  • Category Conversion growth by device vs total site - I keep up to date with competitor activity and new innovations to ensure that the website is always adopting best practise and my category is always at the forefront. I ensure I have a clear view of how my category is performing and being optimised through all the core journeys via onsite search, customer reviews, product associations and segmentation.
    I work with the Buying and Merchandise Planning teams to develop launch plans for new ranges & opps.
  • AOV, Upsell and Cross sell - I will provide early reads and reactions on new products with the Buying and Merchandise Planning team and implement actions to maximise best sellers and products under performing.
  • NPS for HD and R&C - I lead and support weekly departmental meetings to ensure I can clearly present drivers behind performance and actions to maximise sales and profit in the Monday Trade meeting and looking at how I can build on and react to B&M updates.
Qualifications
  • On Site experience (across device) - I continuously review, analyse and optimise how my categories are set out and are performing across all devices and channels, ensuring end to end the customer journey and product proposition is maximised.
  • Accurate information communicated to customers - I manage the day to day plans and delivery of the trading execs and assistants ensuring they are focused on launching things on time, and right first time and anticipating or raising challenges at earliest opportunity so we overcome, and constantly improving our standards, quality and detail of the execution. I'm constantly reviewing and considering how I can present my category proposition in best possible light to drive sales conversion, NPS, cross sell and the overall customer experience eg product image and info.
  • Colleague engagement survey scores - I will actively seek to share my knowledge and skills within my category pod or broader digital team.. I am able to set relevant and clear goals and objectives for myself and my team. I support my team to ensure they are competent in the tasks they are undertaking and deliver to deadlines set
  • Internal Promotions - I drive and celebrate success but am also able to performance manage where needed. Iwill manage digital projects and I'm comfortable handling complexity & uncertainty.
  • Turnover targets - I network effectively to secure professional relationships.
  • Fully committed to the brand and strategy - I have a high level of energy and drive which has a positive personal impact and instils confidence. I am passionate about doing my job to a high standard and I'm committed to ensuring I meet all the required deadlines to support the business.

  • Networking with key stake holders - I have strong and considered opinions and am constantly looking at ways to improve my category and myself and learns from others and competitors.
  • Challenge the status quo - Willingness to continually review and challenge the status quo with a genuine desire to make improvements. I have an ability to know when things aren't working and suggest solutions
  • Strive to reduce inefficiency and waste - I always consider ways to ensure myself and my team are being efficient and not causing waste, making sure no one is too big to turn out a light when they leave a room and keeping costs to a minimum.
  • Keep everything we do simple and efficient - Desire to cut through complexity to make things simple, to ensure efficiency, speed and accuracy in delivering results. I actively seek opportunities to simplify processes.
