We are currently recruiting for a successful Finance Director in a high transaction and fast paced environment to join our growing team at Admiral.

An exciting, fast paced Recruitment Agency, with simply the finest client list in the UK. Our enviable and rapidly expanding client list includes Hospitality, Restaurants, Hotels, Venues and Stadiums across the UK!

You will be reporting into the CEO to assist in leading the company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice. You will be managing a team of 4 while engaged in the strategy of the business and will ensure the day to day effective and efficient running of our accounts department.

What we want
  • Senior level finance experience in the Recruitment and Retail industry
  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • Evidenced experience of leading a team
  • Understanding of data privacy standards
  • Exceptional communicator, able to provide data at board level
  • Thorough understanding of business principles and practices with superior attention to detail

What you will be doing:

Working Capital Management
  • Produce rolling cash forecasts
  • Manage credit controller in collecting debt
  • Optimize working capital by driving early accurate billing and facilitating company communication with credit control
  • Develop systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company's finances

Forecasting/Budgeting/Management Accounting
  • Accurate & timely reporting of P&L performance and balance sheet position whilst actively facilitating the delivery of business targets
  • Prompt forecasting & budgeting of business performance
  • Overhead / Cost scrutiny and exception reporting
  • Ensure appropriate levels of financial review / support with suitable reporting for management and operations
  • Provision of relevant financial information to support decision making at all levels
  • Risk management through balance sheet and provision control
  • Provide finance support for pricing, margin and consultant commission scheme reviews
  • Monthly Perm Payroll
  • Provide appropriate financial training for non-finance personnel
  • Manage the Year End Audit process

  • Exert diligent financial process control in accordance with business procedures, ensuring efficiency and resilience to growth. This includes the following areas: purchase ledger, staff expenses, treasury, credit control, staff payroll, temporary payroll and accounts system
  • Recommend changes that will improve the company's financial performance and financial controls
