This is a predominantly office-based role, working closely with other member of the Volunteer Management team. You will work closely with the Events and the Fundraising team to ensure that charity fundraising events and activities are sufficiently staffed by volunteers (with the help of the charity's volunteer database).
Other duties will include:
  • Regular communication with the charity volunteers
  • Processing of volunteer applications
  • Training, briefing and supervision of volunteers
  • Developing relationships with local volunteer organisations
  • Helping recruiting new volunteers and attendance at recruitment events
  • Administrative duties on the charity CRM system and monthly reporting
  • Ensure equipment and materials are prepared for use by the volunteers
  • Some working flexibility will be required for evenings and weekends as this is when most of the charity events take place - it is anticipated that this will be once a month for both.

  • Superb communication skills at all levels
  • Able to quickly establish good relationships with the volunteers
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience in an events, volunteer or charity environments would be ideal
  • Bright, cheerful and enthusiastic personality
  • Confident and flexible
