We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to work in a non-maintained special school for young people aged 3 to 19 years old. The school is the biggest charity in the Bolton area and it provides individually tailored education services. The school is based in Bolton and provides education for children with moderate to severe learning disability, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, significant physical impairment and / or complex health needs. Many pupils will also have communication difficulties, multi-sensory impairment or present with behaviours that some may find challenging. The school has unique expertise and experience in supporting children and young adults with significant physical disability, complex health needs and moderate to severe learning disability.

The responsibilities of this role include:
* Supporting the teacher within the classroom
* Helping to create lesson plans with the teacher
* Working one to one or in small groups with pupils
* Helping with any of the pupils' additional care needs (e.g. feeding, toileting)
The requirements for this role are:
* A DBS on the update service
* Experience working with children or adults with additional care needs
* A dedication to creating a positive learning environment for pupils
* Reading, writing, numeracy and communication skills
