A leading marketing business in the Huntingdon market are in need of a Financial Accountant to continue to growth and development of the business. Within this role the Financial Accountant will play a business partnering role, providing financial commentary and analysis to drive business decisions. You will also have ownership over the budget, forecasting and month-end processes.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:
  • Managing the monthly reporting process and controls, ensuring the production of timely, accurate financial information and analysis to the non-finance arms of the business
  • Proactively identify opportunities to develop and improve existing processes, project manage and drive process to successful implementation.
  • The management of the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Producing the month end management accounts as well as assisting with the year end processes
  • Building strong relationships with external audit team to complete Group and local audits to tight deadlines
  • Ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are in place to ensure accurate and timely production of financial information and ensure the reduction of financial risk
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to Director of Finance

Profile

The successful candidate for the Financial Accountant will be:
  • Part-Qualified ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Advanced Excel skills and broad systems exposure
  • Experience in supporting improvements and efficiency in processes and controls as an advantage
