JR Recruitment have a strong Technical Support Assistant who has a problem solving attitude and is confident with both hardware and software with a solutions based approach to their work. As the first point of contact for all IT based queries, you will have a confident phone manner with the ability to multi task.

Responsibilities include:

Taking calls from internal colleagues
Monitoring and answering emails
Troubleshooting and supporting all internal systems and tools
Troubleshooting and supporting some external applications
Internal users supporting
Hardware installation and maintenance
Setting up new users
PC rebuilds
Software maintenance and installation
Creating and maintaining documentation relating to common tasks
Monitoring backups and schedules

Key skills:

Able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar IT focussed support role
Self-reliant problem solver
Logically and analytically minded
Confident PC user
Comfortable using and installing PC's, printers, laptops, screens, and phones
Basic understanding of API's and XML (preferred, not essential)
