A Software Development Team Leader job based in Cambridge with a leading app and payments designer. Founded nearly 20 years ago, my clients have gone from strength to strength, with their European usage growing by 114% last year and transnational reach of £5billiion globally. My clients work with companies across the globe and because of operational growth are looking for a Software Development Team Leader to join their company on a full-time permanent base.
The RoleWorking within product development , this hands-on technical leader role will see you driving the development of new features and working on building new internal tools. These tools will ensure the Finance, Customer Care and Operational departments run smoothly. Along with this you will:
  • Line managing a team of software and QA engineers
  • Lead teams in using Agile methodologies and ensure best architecture choices are made
  • Working with staff and senior software engineers to lead definition of work
  • Reviews team members' code, providing mentoring for improvement
  • Research new technologies and approaches
Experience and Skills Previous experience in line management, including coaching, mentoring and leading projects. Leading a cross-functional team you must have strong communication skills and able to bring teams together and motivate. As well as this, strong technical experience of the following is also needed:
  • Experience cloud technologies such as AWS, Google or Azure
  • Excellent knowledge of .NET technologies including C#
  • Design skills using DDD, OO and Design Patterns
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of CI/CD
