Managing all aspects of the technical systems to ensure control paperwork and work instructions are created, updated, controlled and supports the team to help ensure that all food manufactured on site meets food safety, legality and quality standards

  • Carrying out customer complaint investigations on time and results conveyed to relevant people · Maintain and develop the format of quality attribute sheets, updating and improving visual standards and reference information quality attribute sheets. To include the creation and maintenance of a central technical database referencing essential product information. Communicate updates to the technical and operations team.
  • Review and update the site HACCP ensuring updates emanating from all HACCP reviews are recorded and relevant documentation updated for approval.
  • Compiling KPI data and passing to the technical & operations team for action.
  • Management of customer barcoding allocation as and when required. · To update all technical systems against any customer policies, systems and BRC updates. Compiling the gap analysis for customers and legislation compliance.
  • Maintenance and training of the Allergen Management and HACCP Program to ensure any changes in the business are accounted for and full understanding to all relevant associates.
  • Training inductions, CCP's, OPRP's, areas relevant to execution of the QS Manual.
  • Maintain the external calibration of equipment (Bench thermometer, scales, Aw, etc...).

The Person
  • A working knowledge food safety, quality and standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the company
  • Ability to collect and interpret data to allow decision making
  • Pc literate in excel and word.
  • Methodical approach to work but flexible enough to meet the changing needs of the business. Excellent administration skills
  • Accurate and highly organised with attention to detail Experience, skills and knowledge will include
  • Applied knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and GMP
  • Awareness of BRC Food Manufacturing Standard
  • Awareness of Retailer Standards/Policies
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Trained in HACCP
  • Trained in Internal Audit principles
  • Train the Trainer
  • Effective Communication and Influencing Skills
