Are you an experienced childcare professional who is passionate about Early Years development? Can you demonstrate strong leadership skills, communicate at an expert level and be a core team player?

We're recruiting for a Deputy Manager in our fun and busy setting, which host up to fifty 2 to 4 year old who come to learn and play.

This varied and rewarding role is a permanent school term-time position, you will be managing a friendly team of 12 and reporting to the Pre-School Manager.

The position also offers ongoing training opportunities, potential for career development and salary of up to £14,500 paid monthly across the full year.

What does the role involve?
  • Responsibility for managing the day to day duties of running a safe, stimulating setting
  • Managing the team of pre school assistants and being their first point of contact
  • Supporting the Pre-School Manager in all aspects of running an effective and safe Pre-School
  • Curriculum planning and overseeing each session to ensure quality and delivery
  • Resourcing/rota planning including staff/child ratios
  • Ensuring full team compliance with policy & procedure, child protection laws and OFSTED
  • Mentoring and developing team members; including new staff inductions, regular reviews & annual appraisals, team & committee meetings
  • Key worker working performing all of the childcare duties associated with this
  • Pre School communications including social media content, parent newsletters etc.

What experience/qualifications does an applicant need?
  • Previous experience working with children in an Early Years setting is essential, currently working within this area is desirable
  • Experience managing a team or leading people is essential
  • No criminal record
  • Maths & English Language G.C.S.E or equivalent (grade C or above)
  • NVQ Level 3 Childcare & education or above
  • Valid DBS check
