£110 - £165 per day

This exciting Food Technology Teacher position available for a long term (and potentially permanent) role starting in September 2019 is the perfect opportunity to join a desirable secondary school in the Chorley area.

Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher? Are you able to use your enthusiasm and subject knowledge to ensure students learn the importance of a balanced diet?

This Food Technology Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups. You will be required to plan and deliver lessons that challenge and engage learners across a range of abilities. The successful candidate will also be required to teach some Health & Social Care lessons as part of the timetable.

This Ofsted 'Good' school caters for over 1000 students and is built on a foundation of high expectations of both staff and students. High expectations not only of behaviour and achievement but also that their students act as good role models both inside and outside of the school.

When visited by Ofsted, one inspector commented 'students take pride in the school and this is demonstrated through their high attendance, smart appearance and participation in a wide range of extra curricular activities.'

Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs

To be considered for this Food Technology Teacher role you should have:
Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
Strong subject knowledge of the Food & Nutrition curriculum including the new GCSE.
