Part of the prestigious team in the world's biggest department store on Oxford Street. As the Optical Supervisor you will support and drive sales in partnership with your store management team by supervising all daily selling activities and leading the store team. You'll provide information to customers, working alongside the Optometrist, to help them select the best products and services to ensure customers see, look and feel better than they ever thought possible. Secondly, you'll keep up-to-date with all the various new lines and promotions within your store, so that you can always provide customers with the most up-to-date information. Finally, you'll play your part within the team, working together and helping and supporting colleagues to deliver a successful and profitable business.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the management team and Optometrists to ensure efficient store operations
  • Deliver excellent customer service and the brand story
  • Achieve high levels of sales performance and results
  • Create an engaging and positive working environment linked to the David Clulow culture
  • Know the products inside and out and stay fresh with new merchandise and trends
  • Ensure store is displayed and products are secured according to Company guidelines
  • Accurately operate the POS system and accounts for all transactions (cash, credit, returns)
  • Assist with contact lenses and dispensing glasses
  • Perform core administrative functions
  • Assist in identifying situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution
  • Work with other retail associates in developing their knowledge and skill regarding product and store processes
  • Follow and executive policies and procedures
  • Enforce positive communication channels between management and team members

Education & Experience
  • GCSE's or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience of working in optical is essential
