EYFS SEN TEACHing ASSISTANT

GSL Education seeks applications for a 121 SEN Teaching Assistant position in Leicester. The school require someone experienced in supporting SEN pupils on a 121 basis, we are particularly looking for someone with a background working with LAC and young children with Attachment disorder. We are ideally looking for candidates with at least one year Teaching assistant experience, who are passionate, patient and love working with children. Selection of candidates will be based on a trial and interview with the school.

As a teaching assistant, you will possess:
  • Strong behaviour management in class with LAC, attachment disorder and challenging behavior
  • Encourage learning and development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
  • Help children develop curiosity and knowledge
  • Record a child's progress
  • Ensure a safe environment

Applicants are required to have:
  • Early Years Specialism
  • At least one year of early years teaching experience
  • Up to date on early years teaching methods and content
  • Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
  • Able to provide two professional child related references
