I am currently recruiting for one of the city's most respected employers, an award-winning broker that really support and value their employees.

with offices based just on the cusp of the city centre my client is looking for driven candidates who want to improve upon themselves and build upon their existing skill set and qualifications.

This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked in Commercial insurance.

The purpose of the role
  • You will be responsible for undertaking and maintaining a practical working system for your own client
  • account
  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining one to one client and insurer relationships
  • You will generate and deal with new business enquiries from your own client account
  • You will cross sell and up sell to existing clients to ensure fully comprehensive cover is provided
  • You will support all the client's needs, including opportunities from across the business
  • You will ensure your adherence to the company insurer strategy
  • You will work with the companies New Business team and Account Executives to ensure a smooth handover of clients
  • To provide assistance to team members where required to accomplish team targets and goals
  • You will ensure you remain compliant at all times with requirements of all relevant regulatory bodies and Group best practice procedures
  • You will be responsible for your own self-development and utilise opportunities for growth within the role

Skills and Behaviours
  • You will have the ability to sell, including cross selling and up selling to existing client base
  • You will possess persuasive negotiation skills with all customer types
  • You will have a proven technical ability and knowledge of insurance
  • You will understand a comprehensive range of insurance products and 'The Market'
  • You will be able to demonstrate organisation and discipline skills
  • You will have good time management with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver on expectations
  • You will have excellent communications skills across all methods
  • You will have the ability to work alone and as part of a team and develop relationships top ensure best practice
  • You will accurately and efficiently deal with high workloads

Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience and technical knowledge of insurance products, broker's systems and practices
  • Technical knowledge of insurance products and terms and conditions
  • Understand the requirement to develop sales/handling relationship with clients on a direct
  • You will preferably possess some insurance qualifications or be working towards ACII


Mon-Fri, 9-5 (can be flexible)
