Locations: Dundee

Salary: Up to £39,000 (12 month - Fixed Term Contract)

Harvey Nash's client, a leading educational body, are going through a fantastic period of growth due to a large business transformation programme, as such they are keen to bring in a skilled Reporting Analyst / SQL / BO/BI Developer to help with developing and testing the SQL data migration ETL process.

The role:

Working as part of a technical team within their Business Transformation Programme you will be responsible for developing and testing the SQL data migration ETL processes to migrate data from several large enterprise legacy systems to a new SaaS product.

You will liaise with the project subject matter experts and relevant business units to gain an understanding of the data to be migrated and you must be capable of working with legacy system databases with little documentation.

Training will be provided on some of their internal systems to allow for the data import routines, however you will be expected to be proficient at writing SQL for Oracle and SQL Server databases and be familiar with ETL processes to be successful in this role.

Successful candidates will have the following experience and skill set:
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of SQL for Oracle and SQL Server databases and have an understanding of mainstream SQL tools and relational database principles and design.
  • Ability to demonstrate previous knowledge in data migration, testing data migrations and developing of the ETL.
  • You will be comfortable also working with undocumented database, can integrate and work with legacy database - So understanding tables and can pick up stack etc.
