Software Product Manager, Richmond, North Yorkshire, £competitive

You will support and manage the Company's product portfolio and acts as a point of contact to co-ordinate projects within their business. You will also be required to develop and apply knowledge of Company products, processes and procedures along with that of 3rd party providers and distributors to provide support to the sales, marketing and administrative functions within the company. You will also work closely with their parent company's Product Management Team who are based overseas.

Main Duties

1. Product Management

• Manage their product portfolio

• Develop an excellent working knowledge of their products and third-party products

• Create product documentation for each software/hardware release

• Review of technical documents such as Requirement Specifications, Product Manuals and Data sheets

• Co-ordinate product updates and product releases.

2. Project co-ordination

• Working with the Company's Engineers to create and maintain project plans and co-ordinate projects

• Liaise with internal departments on project and attendance at required meetings

• To act as a primary point of contact with our parent company's Product Management team

• Attend weekly conference calls with our parent company's Product Management Tea

3. Marketing

• Provide a multi-channel approach to product management, analysis of trends to drive forward both online and

off-line Marketing initiatives

• Support with the production of newsletters, articles, case studies, post exhibition write-ups

• Facilitate pricing reviews and price book updates

• Working with the Data Protection Lead to uphold the required standards and maintain the Company data map for

Product Management

• Creation of presentations content for customer demonstrations, sales visits and training

• To present product demonstrations

• Support sales and marketing with exhibitions

4. General

• Input to Financial Controller with annual budget preparation;

• Conform to the Companies Quality Management Standard and SHEF Policies and Procedures;

Qualifications
  • Higher education/degree qualification or the equivalent experience would be highly desirable
  • High level of numeracy: preferably qualified in a science, mathematics or engineering discipline;

Relevant experience
  • Previous experience of Product Management and Project Co-ordination
  • Software product management experience (preferable)
  • Experience of working in an engineering environment (desirable)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud (desirable).

Occasional overseas travel will be required (2-3 times/year) as well as some UK travel

This is an office based position, own transport is required due to the office location

Hours: 8.30-5pm, flexitime can be offered
