We are recruiting for an Ecommerce Manager to join our team.

We are looking to invest in a passionate and experienced Ecommerce Manager. This a key position within our Thought E-commerce team. They will be developing and contributing to the 'Thought' vision and strategy of managing the retail and wholesale websites. They will support the Head of E-commerce, work alongside the Digital Marketing Manager and will manage and develop the Ecommerce Assistant. This position will be responsible for all aspects of website management, trading, conversion, UX/UI, web development and management of 3rd parties

In this important role, your key responsibilities would be:

Website Management
  • B2C/B2B Seasonal range launches including image and data collation and upload to website
  • Ensuring customer journey is seamless from visit to checkout to fulfilment
  • Ensure product information is always correct, optimised and suggest improvements if necessary
  • Managing categories, attributes, product hierarchy and optimising internal search
  • Device and browser testing for key launches
  • Support customer service department with product, technical and payment queries
  • Web development and partners aimed at optimising our high international traffic
  • Using Google Analytics/systems to monitor KPI's and make recommendations for improvement
  • Manage item and stock availability to ensure all product is available to sell on the website.
  • Manage the merchandising of the website to maximise sales based on best sellers, cover and newness
  • Timely promotional and markdown implementation and management
  • In depth weekly, monthly and adhoc reporting as required
  • Manage cross-sells and up-sells on product page and throughout site
  • Payment provider and process management
  • Returns analysis aimed at reducing overall returns rates

Partner Management
  • Main contact between our development agency and Thought
  • Key contact between website developers, server management and other 3rd party providers
  • Liaising between warehouse and management of delivery, returns and all fulfilment functions
  • Constantly reviewing new functionality/improvements related to trading, optimisation and UX/UI
  • Contribute to system integrations protecting Ecommerce requirements and best practice


  • Manage, develop and motivate the Ecommerce Assistant
  • To deputize for the Head of Ecommerce in presentations/meetings when required.
  • Cover for digital marketing manager as and when required
  • Attend conferences, seminars, webinars and networking events as required to stay on top of new developments, strategies and best practice
  • Lead, assist or be the key contact for the Ecommerce and wider business projects and process improvements

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Educated to degree level
  • Analytical, numerate and data driven
  • High level of technical ability with experience gained on varied systems
  • Experience of CMS (Content Management Systems) essential. Magento 2.0 experience an advantage
  • HTML coding experience an advantage but not essential
  • Experience on managing direct reports would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work well within a small high-performing team while building strong relationships with other business functions is essential
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in sustainable/ethical clothing, fashion or retail
  • Ability to make things happen under tight deadlines.
  • A can-do attitude and willing to go the extra mile.
  • You must also have excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
