The Role:
Based in Milton Keynes, this role will be working with a dynamic and ground-breaking Formula 1 team, supporting with the manufacture, build and maintenance of highly specialist electrical components of F1 vehicles coming through the factory. It is a hugely exciting opportunity for an automotive Electrical Technician to hone their skills and be a part of something truly historical. A large part of this role will involve making specialist electrical harnesses/wiring looms, so we are keen to hear from Auto Electricians who have the ability to interpret complex electrical drawings/diagrams and act on their own initiative.

- available either as a 2 year (salaried) fixed-term contract, or as a directly permanent option if you would prefer
- 40 hours per week
- shift patterns including earlies and lates
- potential opportunity to attend race days to provide electrical tech support

Your day will be varied and interesting, involving any of the below tasks:

1. Responsible for the manufacture of in-house built Electrical and Electronic components, looms and assemblies as required and to the set specification.
2. Jointly responsible, with the other Electrical Technicians, for the logistical control of workshop materials and tools.
3. Provide support to the travelling Electrical Technicians whilst the cars are in the factory on car builds and turn-rounds.
4. To have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical technical drawings and the appropriate procedures, to be able to work unsupervised where required and take responsibility for a task, once set.
5. Ensure that all transactions are carried out for all work in a timely fashion, maintaining complete assembly integrity.
6. To be an integrated member of the Electronics Design & Production Group and maintain open and free discussion with other members of the Group.
7. Communicate all build issues to the appropriate design function via good communication using the Electronics Production Team Leader.
8. Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role, and any specific requirements of our department or line management.
9. Ensure that company wide policies and procedures are adhered to wherever and whenever appropriate.
10. Monitor and maintain a clean and tidy working environment whether factory or trackside based, working within the groups COSHH guidelines and ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety requirements are met.
11. To work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team / sponsors.
