Project Engineer, Tunnels. Concrete & Civil Engineering experience. Main contractor background, able to manage the contract paperwork and documentation side. Ability to inspire confidence in clients and to actively oversee work on projects from £20k to £1.5m. Project Manager potential opportunity

Working for a specialist subcontractor on major civils schemes, Tideway, HS2; in London and the south-east. You must be able to demonstrate relevant Project experience in tunneling projects in the UK. £80k plus available

This is a new role following internal promotion. The ideal person will have enthusiasm in the construction industry and be able to communicate well at all levels. The contractor is very well respected in this niche market and has extremely good working relationships with Contractors and Clients on major projects.

The company is involved in working on schemes incorporating:

· Tunneling

· Civil engineering

· RC substructure

Clients and projects are often high profile and include major rail and tunnel contracts.

The Role will involve working closely with the pre-construction team and the clients to produce optimum solutions and innovative answers in using sprayed concrete products. The requirement is for someone with good client facing skills who is able to drive and organize all the contractual documentation, permits, RAMS and technical data flow. There are already extremely competent and experienced site people in place.

Your Background. Degree qualified Civil Engineer with 4-6 years site experience working as a No 2 on tunneling schemes, or running your own projects. Strong in oral and verbal communication with some commercial understanding and appreciation. Good IT skills are important and a good technical engineering knowledge is an advantage. You will ideally have the relevant tickets and certification which allows you to work on rail and tunneling projects.

Location . The company operates predominantly in London within the M25 area. Established over 35 years they have become a market leader in the application and use of sprayed concrete. You will need to be able to travel as the workload along HS2 grows. The role is site or project based.

Remuneration . £80,000 negotiable
