Solutions Engineer

Exciting new role exists and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing 3rd party product partners, product approval and identifying and delivering relevant market required solutions to compliment the product portfolio
  • Leading the development and approval of 3rd party products to compliment product portfolio
  • Providing technical guidance and project management to 3rd party suppliers to achieve the product Eco System requirements.
  • Liaison with global stakeholders to understand and introduce complimentary products in line with EU market requirements
  • Supporting sales with innovative new solutions
  • Calculating Product pricing for approval and creating SKU's/BOM's
  • Managing multiple, concurrent, time pressured projects
  • Working closely with internal and external customers effectively creating a positive relationship by providing them with the technical resource and support needed to ensure project success.
  • Attending and delivering information at key meetings and events both internally and externally
  • Identifying new opportunities and providing creativity and innovation around new solution ideas
  • Working closely with marketing to ensure that accurate product information is available and marketing output is reviewed.
  • Maintaining and improving testing standards based on market performance and feedback

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
  • Must be able to demonstrate engineering capability based on projects undertaken
  • Ideally the candidate will have a BEng or BSc qualification Mechatronic experience would be idea
  • Experience with the design of electronic enclosures, EMC management and environmental compliance would be of benefit
  • Proven experience in managing multiple concurrent projects or a qualification in project management is essential
  • Knowledge of testing standards for global products and associated with installing aftermarket products into vehicles would be advantageous
  • Experience in vehicle integration would be beneficial
  • Must have experience in the use of the basic Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have proven relationship building skills

  • Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced but rewarding working environment
  • Candidates will be asked for evidence of experience (present/past projects and achievements etc)
  • Presentation skills would be advantageous
  • Must be able to deliver accurate and articulate reports including those of a technical nature
  • Some European travel will be expected within this role .
