We are looking for a risk oversight manager to join the existing oversight team to provide advice, challenge, and influence over the large function known as Customer Operations. This includes both how we do processing today, and how we may do it in the future. You would be a great fit for this role if you have relevant experience across an operations/processing environment, audit, or risk background.

Overview:

Risk plays a key role in keeping our company safe. We oversee the way in which the business manages its risks; providing expert advice and guidance to ensure that we are compliant with regulation, the law and that we're delivering the best outcomes for customers.

Back office processing remains critically important to the success of all financial services with the timely and fair treatment of customers. These are exciting times ahead to make the best use of technology within an area that has predominantly been heavily reliant on manual processing and telephone call answering.

We are looking for a risk oversight manager to join the existing oversight team to provide advice, challenge, and influence over the large function known as Customer Operations. This includes both how we do processing today, and how we may do it in the future. You would be a great fit for this role if you have relevant experience across an operations/processing environment, audit, or risk background.

Accountability:

* Working closely with many senior leaders across the Operations function to check and challenge the effective management of process design and operation

* Review management policies, processes, and procedures to ensure they remain fit for purpose, and influence senior owners where changes need to be made

* Embed yourself within important changes underway to increase our understanding of end to end processing and use of technology to improve service time and quality. This will be through attendance and participation at key governance meetings and direct engagement with teams and senior leaders

* Deliver independent oversight reviews to provide opinion on the risks associated with Operations telephony and processing

* Provide oversight on other operational risk categories as required to support your senior managers for this high profile role.

Skills / Experience:

* Experience of working with, or oversighting, a customer operations environment

* Knowledge of "what good looks like" across operations and the ability to ensure appropriate control frameworks are in place and operating effectively

* Ability to operate with appropriate impact and influence, you will have a proven ability to manage a range of stakeholders and deliver to tight timescales. More importantly, you will be able to challenge/influence senior leaders in the moment to ensure that first line teams have appropriate controls in place or are obtaining suitable senior stakeholder acceptance of risks

* Ability to escalate quickly and with impact both internally and to external stakeholders
