The Learning Support Assistant role will see you providing specialised 1:1 and small group support for pupils working to a lower ability, and those with education healthcare plans often with special educational needs. The ethos at the school is to ensure that every student reaches their full potential, to achieve this, the support team work collaboratively to ensure pupils are learning in a nurturing and safe environment with the highest levels of pastoral and academic support.

As learning Support Assistant, you will be trained and supported to plan and deliver fun and engaging sessions, mark and assess work, and track and report on progress. The school are looking for a driven and self-motivated graduate that will be flexible in order to support the school in its varying needs.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will be timetabled to work with whole classes and 1:1 with children that have ranging learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, ADHD and ASD.

The school are looking to appoint a self-motivated, caring graduate with the ambition to train and develop with the role. You will need to have a degree and some experience working with children in a support capacity, but school experience is not essential. Most Important is a genuine passion for supporting young people in education.
