A Colchester secondary school is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Economics graduate to start an Economics/Maths Teaching Assistant role in September 2019.

The Economics Teaching Assistant role
This role will involve the Economics/Maths Teaching Assistant helping the day to day running of the Maths department. You will find yourself predominantly based in the classroom supporting students in either small groups or a 1-to-1 basis. The students will be those requiring extra support for a variety of reasons, good communication skills and patience are highly important.

The ideal Economics Teaching Assistant
An A-Level + undergraduate degree of a 2:1 or First in Economics/Maths is a must as subject knowledge plays a significant part of this role. The Economics/Maths Teaching Assistant will have a keen interest in the education process and holds the desire to become an Economics/Maths teacher in a secondary school in the future.

It's important you read the criteria for this role. Only candidates with an A-Level and a degree in Economics/Maths will be considered. Alongside this is the genuine desire to become an Economics/Maths Teacher. The school has a great record with retaining and training graduates in becoming qualified teachers.
