About the Team

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Knitwear Buyer to join the team to continue the growth and development of this very successful department for the brand. Reporting to the Buying Manager and working closely with Design, you will utilise your expert knowledge of knitwear and eye for trend to deliver a profitable and commercial range to maximise sales.

Within this role you will
  • Continuously review the Lipsy customer profile to develop the product accordingly, demonstrating brand and customer awareness
  • Plan the range according to future trends that take into account range construction and pricing architecture, seasonal variations
  • Work collaboratively with Merchandising and Design to build a customer focused, commercial and inspirational range
  • Lead the department from a trend perspective to influence and educate Senior Management on key trends/items for Lipsy
  • Reviews the range frequently with Merchandising to ensure product selection is commercial and reacting to sales
  • Results orientated with the ability to realise further growth for the department
  • Excellent communication skills and supplier management
  • UK and Overseas travel to visit suppliers and attend trade fairs sourcing new yarns and shapes to build new and innovative ranges
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan ahead and have a flexible approach and be reactive when necessary

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Knitwear, operating at an established level within a successful high street/premium retailer
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team
  • A passionate individual who is creative and innovative
  • Thrives in working in a fast paced and growing business
  • Opportunity to manage additional department (Holiday Shop) dependent on experience and capability. Experience in this product area would be an advantage
