Tradewind is seeking a part-time Spanish teacher to start at our "Good" rated (Ofsted 2016) client school in Hemel Hempstead from September and continue through to the end of the school year, with a permanent contract on the table for the right teacher. This school has seen rapid improvement over the last five years under the guidance of a capable and experienced Head, and works together with a number of other local schools in a co-operative educational trust, in order to provide a wider range of opportunities to their pupils.

The school is seeking a teacher who will:

• Be an outstanding practitioner who will contribute significantly to raising standards of teaching and learning

• Be a fluent Spanish speaker with strong curriculum knowledge at KS4 and KS5

• Be committed to raising student's interest in foreign languages and culture via contribution to extra-curricular opportunities within MFL

• Work collaboratively as part of a long-standing and supportive staff team

The MFL department focuses on Spanish and offers trips and online resource packages to support the students' learning, such as Duolingo, Doddle and Linguascope. All students begin their language learning in Year 7 and have the opportunity to continue through to A-level. As this is a small school with excellent behaviour, there is the option to get to know the whole student cohort and form a lasting rapport.

Located in West Herts and attracting the London Fringe bonus, the school is easily accessible from the M1 and M25 and has good public transport links to Watford, St. Albans and Hemel Hempstead, as well as free onsite parking for staff.

In order to be considered for this Spanish Teacher position you will need:

• QTS status or equivalent (overseas teachers will be considered with appropriate NARIC certification)

• Enhanced DBS or Overseas Police Checks if necessary

• An updated CV, covering the last 10 years of employment, with 2 recent references

• A legal right to work in the UK (We are not able to offer sponsorship for this role)
