Summary
The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same so you'll have to love variety. As well as supporting day to day operations, you'll have the chance to support a variety of projects and offer your advice beyond your team. You'll always champion best practice when it comes to business support, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there's a better way of doing something.
What it's like to work here
We're bigger than you think, we're more complicated than we appear and we're larger scale than you'd imagine. We've got passionate people in all our teams, and we've got so much more we want to achieve. We're for ever, for everyone and we really mean that. We don't want to stop at 5.5 million members and we want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to our places, so we need to reach new audiences in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them without losing the hearts and minds of those that are already with us.

Our central head office Heelis, is situated in Swindon, Wiltshire. We're well placed, with ample parking nearby, a shopping outlet with plenty of options for places to eat, and the town centre only a 10 minute walk away. Alternatively you can enjoy our open plan atrium space for lunch times, with our internal cafe available every day.
What you'll be doing
With your love of delivering first-class support, you'll provide a pro-active comprehensive administration service to the Visitor Experience (VE) Director and his team. You will also act as a point of contact between the team and other customers, such as regional colleagues and functional staff.

This is a varied role in an exciting area of the business, where you will get involved in lots of different things: from in-depth diary management, booking travel and accommodation, and arranging team away days, to helping arrange the annual VE conference, using your event management skills. There will be occasions when you will be working offsite, sometimes with an overnight stay, attending team meetings and the VE conference. You will work closely with the other business support co-ordinators within the team and the wider Curation & Experience directorate. You'll be confident using a variety of IT packages, quick to learn, with a want to build on your existing skills.

Please supply a cover letter and also read the role profile attached to this advert (note that this is a generic role profile and therefore you might not be involved with all areas on it).
