My client is on the lookout for a Senior Project Manager to join their growing team in Milton Keynes. As a provider of assessment software and services, their clients benefit from their data capture and imaging services.

Job summary

This role will support the ongoing development, evolution and performance of projects from initiation through to delivery. The Senior PM does not need to be an IT specific PM but experience of managing large/complex projects is essential.

As the Senior PM, you will have leadership responsibilities and provide support to the Head of Department ensuring that all BAU activities and completed on time and to budget.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide line management for assigned staff including professional development and appraisals.
  • Effective delegation of project related activity as required.
  • Responsible for the overall control of the operational costs of assigned projects, working in partnership with Finance.
  • Deputise for the Head of department as required.
  • Preparation of monthly reports for the Director of Operations to present to the Executive Management Team.
  • Cover for other Senior Project Managers as required.
  • Have a working knowledge of the company objectives and deliverables to support the overall business strategy.
  • Champion the company values across all department practices, procedures and communications.
  • Overall responsibility for the management of any major incidents.
  • Liaise with client senior management and act as a point of escalation.
  • Liaison with Product Managers to prioritise projects, change requests and defect fixing.
  • Support the Sales department in new business and account management activities.
  • Risk Management - Overseeing the identification, assessment, planning and management of threats and opportunities as appropriate.
  • Business continuity and incident management in areas of delivery - Responsible for the identification, assessment, planning, testing and implementation of incident management processes to support recovery of key business processes in the event of a disruption to our normal operations.

Experience/Skills required
  • Experience in Project Management across an extensive and complex portfolio
  • Recognised Project Management qualification e.g. Prince2™ Practitioner
  • Knowledge of Continuous Business Improvement methodology
  • Proven change management delivery
  • Line management experience
  • Full UK driving licence
