Head of Insight & Intelligence (Charity)


A talented Head of Insight & Intelligence is needed to join one of Gloucestershire's leading charities who have an ambition to radically change the county's approach to healthy living. The aspirations of the charity are to reverse the downward trend in physical activity levels through the creation of a social movement and they are looking for a Head of Insight & Intelligence to play a vital role developing an insight and learning culture to support this.

Joining as the Head of Insight & Intelligence you will lead on developing expertise across the team to gather and use quantitative and qualitative data and intelligence effectively to influence decisions and help evaluate the charity's programmes across the county.

Whether you are researching, analysing and interpreting complex data sets, creating and managing systems to enable optimised use of intelligence across the charity's programmes, identifying opportunities to link data sets to help evaluate the impact of programmes, developing and managing an insight steering group, overseeing the charity's project management system or creating processes and tools to support a culture of insight and learning across the organisation, it will be your results driven nature and ability to influence cultural change that will ultimately make a real difference to hundreds of thousands of lives.

The Head of Insight and Intelligence is a pivotal senior role reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and over-seeing a culture of insight and learning within the charity and the wider county stakeholder group that they work with.

To qualify... You should be a Head of Insight & Intelligence / Head of Insight / Senior Business Intelligence Analyst / Senior Insight Analyst / Senior Data Integrator or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

• You are educated to Master's degree level or can evidence a highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and experience;

• Experience of working with complex and detailed data, ideally within heath / physical activity;

• A high level of statistical and analytical skills;

• The ability to research from complex multiple sources;

• Experience of working on quantitative and qualitative methodologies;

• Considerable experience of using project management systems (preferably Smartsheets);

• You are highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills;

• The ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
