Due to success and growth, Atlas Contract Furniture are looking for a CAD Designer and Estimator to join our dynamic CAD department.

We are looking for someone who is enthusastic for design, hard-working and reliable. You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work under your own initiative and have working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD.

You will produce precise construction and plan drawings, along with accurate estimating, in response to enquiries made through the Sales team and from the client directly.

You will also work alongside your colleagues in ensuring all Atlas products are met to the required standards and to deadline.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 9.00 - 5.00pm. Flexibility will be required in busy periods.

Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 dependant on knowledge and experience

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Costing and quoting products, in line with Company practices
  • Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations
  • CAD Layouts and Plans
  • Technical drawings, elevations and sections within AutoCAD
  • Communicating with other departments to ensure deadlines are met, in line with quality expectations
  • Liaise with sales teams regarding design issues and work with them to provide technical solutions
  • Setting out of products to send to CNC
  • Efficiently manage own workload to deadlines set by the CAD Manager
  • Processing jobs; including the likes of ordering materials, and handing over to production

Person Specifics

  • Good knowledge of Excel is essential
  • Excellent knowledge of 2D AutoCAD
  • Production/Manufacturing knowledge and experience is preferred
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
  • Able to use own initiative
