Cartwright Fleet Services has developed from our parent company S Cartwright & Sons (Coachbuilders) Limited and is now established as one of the UK's leading Fleet Maintenance and Service companies.

This technical manufacturing and engineering expertise, combined with the logistics and operations experience of our key personnel, gives us an edge on other fleet management providers and CFS Leeds is now seeking a Parts Supervisor to complement the existing team at our Leeds site.

The position would be responsible for assisting in the purchase and stocking of repair parts and resale merchandise. Ensuring a high level of customer support to both internal and external customers, detailed and accurate placement of parts orders resulting in quick and accurate delivery. Working as part of a team to develop internal processes and promote growth of the parts division by way of excellent customer communication and timely inputting of data.

  • Placement of purchase orders after researching for best quality, price and delivery schedule based on stock level and/or usage demands and specific customer needs.
  • Raise and submit Purchase Orders, confirming price and delivery status, with follow-up if required.
  • Review and suggest stock requirements utilising Purchase Order history, usage history and incorporating known upcoming projected needs.
  • Receipt of purchase orders and transfer parts to required locations.
  • Utilisation of OrderWise MS to correctly provide customer quotations, despatch paperwork and for the completion of subsequent invoicing.
  • Place follow-up calls as required by customers.
  • Understand parts department processes and liaison with internal departments and external customers.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with and assist other staff members as part of a team, and to take the initiative if/when a decision needs to be taken in the absence of management.
  • To ensure professional relationships with internal and external service agents and customers, to work in line with developed processes and ensure they are adhered to and downtime is minimised.
  • Provide professional and accurate communication with Cartwright personnel, appointed vendors and all other external customers, by either telephone or e-mail.
  • To be a key point of contact for Cartwright parts and service agents, to assist with resolving any issues not resolved at local level.
  • Maintain an excellent, professional working relationship within the service agent network and manage any issues efficiently and effectively.
  • OrderWise database maintenance.
  • Supplier Set-up documents.
  • CFS service agent parts processes.
  • Policy and warranty claims via CFS and vendor database.
  • General house keeping within the parts department

  • Broad understanding of the commercial spare parts industry.
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face, by telephone and e-mail.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook software systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills
