My client is a leading International Bank in their region, they are a wholly owned subsidiary and an award winning global bank in the UK. They are forecasting future liquidity positions for a balance sheet worth $8Bn and offer a range of personal, business, corporate and investment banking services in the UK and Europe.

They are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager/ Business Development Manager offering BTL and CRE services to expand their client base. There are 4 RM roles vacant across their branches in London, Leicester, Birmingham and Manchester, respectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for orginating, underwriting and managing CRE/ Loan against Property Transactions, and ultimately, will be reporting to the Head of Retail Banking.

Area of Responsibility

Business Development:
  • Origination of transactions especially through the broker channel
  • Liaise with the internal stakeholders, brokers and vendors
  • Manage underwriter for credit proposals and present to risk and executive committee
  • Use effective marketing and sales promotional tools for raising the Bank's profile in the target segment
  • Active participation in broker channel events and industry forums.
  • Regular monitoring of loan accounts, timely flagging & communicating the deviations, collections and recovery.

Key Skills and Knowledge Requirement
  • Ability to build a good network of high quality CRE brokers
  • To exhibit sound knowledge and competency Commercial property/asset backed loans in UK; possess necessary certifications like CeMAP.
  • Have a sound knowledge of property valuation, quality and marketability of properties in midlands.
  • Working knowledge of the regulations driving the property or asset backed loans and/or mortgage market in UK.
  • Credit Note writing and Credit Assessment skills.
  • Lending experience
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
  • Self-motivated and self-driven
