Elevation Recruitment Group, are acting as retained partner for a global listed manufacturing business with a group turnover in excess of $2.5 billion in the appointment of a UK Sales Director - Builders Merchants. In the UK our Client's turnover is in excess of £100 million with substantial plans to grow the business both organically and via acquisition.

This is a high-profile appointment and a real opportunity to shape the UK Sales Strategy whilst driving sales opportunities within the Builders Merchant industry.

Specifically, you will be:
- Setting strategies to initiate and build working relationships with Builders Merchants nationally
- Gathering market intelligence, customer insight and identifying new opportunities, execute the Sales Strategy and ensure competitor advantage
- Responsible for defining and executing sales forecasts to maximise sales targets and expand the customer base across Builder's Merchants nationally and regional independents
- Using expertise and professionalism to develop relationships with the customer base as well as internally at board level, across the sales function and wider business
- Mentoring, developing and coaching a team of Field Sales and National Account Managers ensuring territory structuring and alignment
- Responsible for embedding a collaborative working relationship through working cross-functionally with the operational and customer service teams

The successful candidate will be/have:
- Extensive experience of the Builders Merchant industry, with proven experience of selling and building relationships with Builders Merchants nationally
- A detailed and current understanding of the manufacturing industry, processes and principles
- An engaging leader with credibility at senior management level
- Proven success of leading and mentoring a sales team nationally
- Commercially astute with a strong analytical ability and knowledge of sales management tools
- The ability to champion the JELD-WEN Values
