Your new role
The Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action and developing strategies based on financial research. The Finance Manager will analyse every day financial activities and provide advice and guidance to the management team. Key Duties
  • Responsible for UK and Group Reporting, producing the monthly management accounts and all group reporting requirements within existing deadlines, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Streamlining existing reports and reducing the time taken to produce such reports
  • Regular review and control of expenditure with management and assist in preparation of overheads budget
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Day to day management and support of the Finance team, including carrying out regular

1-2-1's, annual appraisals and ensuring the team is set up to meet the current and future demands of the business
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of statutory bodies are met regarding the company's financial affairs and oversee the annual audit
  • Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts, including Corporation Tax calculation and ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Assist with annual stock checks
  • Identify potential improvements in systems and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement of service levels
  • As an integral part of the Middle Management Team, support and work with peers on key projects and attend regular meetings to support the business
  • Any other tasks and activities as required, in line with the above job purpose
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
  • Maintaining professional & harmonious working relationships with all colleagues, customers, clients, agents and third party business partners or representatives of the Company


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with demonstrable experience in a similar role. You must have experience of leading/managing a finance team. You will be able to demonstrate strong business partnering skills with the ability to challenge and build relationships with key stakeholders.
