Applicable is a leading, global service provider in public, private and hybrid cloud services in Microsoft UC and collaboration via a range of systems integrator and telco sales partners. Effective product management is central to growing our revenue and customer base.

About the role

The Product Manager has a key role, interfacing with Management, Architecture and Development functions to, develop and manage the Applicable product portfolio and roadmap.

You will co-ordinate the identification, specification and delivery of products and services in Applicable and support the business identifying potential products and services - working with the product strategy group - assessing the market requirements and the alignment with Applicable value proposition and portfolio.

As a Product Manager, you will get involved in defining and agreeing product features, specifications, development costs and pricing, and managing the product roadmap for introduction, enhancement and withdrawal of products and services.

On a daily basis you will prepare products for launch into partner channels and you will own a set of new and existing Core, Enhancing and Enabling Products and Services. You will be responsible for defining the specifications for product, to meet market requirements from the product strategy group (and including partner channels) and for the sales success of products and services, and their profitability.

You take ownership of the successful sales of those products in Applicable partner sales channels and the introduction of those products into service in Applicable, including technical and commercial operations.

As a Product Manager you will get involved in managing the Product Roadmap delivery timescales and priorities, the definition of product requirements and product specification, the product lifecycle and the product documentation release management. You will provide appropriate information and education to internal and channel audiences and collate internal and channel feedback on specific products and the Product Roadmap.

You will ensure products are developed and run in line with product specifications and agree and manage product budgets (set by Management Team).

About you

You will have Product Management experience and a good understanding of the service provider and cloud market in the enterprise and commercial sector. You will have exposure to Market Requirements definition, and product specification and Product roadmap and product lifecycle management.

You will have stakeholder management experience, influencing stakeholders and product engineering to bring together ideas and concepts into practical outcomes.

Also, we are looking for someone with experience of working within an IT/Telecoms service provider, and experience of an indirect partner channel model.

Ideally you will have
  • Degree level (or equivalent) in a technical or business discipline
  • Ability to engage with and influence key internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English - with a background in producing materials used for marketing collateral for internal and channel partner education
  • Strong commercial acumen including business case development
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage outcomes in virtual teams
  • Ability to work at a detailed level of technical definition and, at the same time be able to produce effective business level documentation.
